off shore for a while more
Title: Orchid root
Gender: Male
Age: 52
Sun Sign: Pisces
Location: An island in the blue Caribbean Sea
About Me:
I have nothing to say to the jury, except that I am innocent of the charges laid against me. I did not lose hope. I did not close my mind or my heart. I did not litter. I did not lie. I was walking near the ocean with a woman that I loved. That is my alibi.
I write for a living. Some of it purely creative, some of it purely scientific, and some in between. I care more about being truthful than being successful or popular and I sometimes find it difficult to to be completely truthful about myself and my actions or thoughts. All politics being concerned about the ways we choose to govern ourselves, I say that honesty is a political matter. In matters of honesty, I choose to be radical. And I declare that in matters of truth, questions are the answer!
I am being truthful in admitting this and still maintaining my innocence.
I do not want to change the world. I want to create and partake in things of beauty and truth. Changing the world is incidental.
We are all returning to life in the caves. The light emanating from their openings is the light of our computer monitors, and the light is bright. Each of us in our own cave with identical glows of artificial light. One day we will leave our caves and say hello, in person, near some flowered coastal footpath. The day is brighter with eyes closed outside, than inside with eyes wide open.
Take what you want when you leave.
